Vincent Kompany discharged from hospital following meningitis diagnosis FAST-MOVING

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has been discharged from the hospital to continue his recovery at home. Following a sudden collapse while observing an amateur team training session last Friday, medical examinations identified the cause as a meningeal irritation (meningitis).

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the news, stating that Kompany is stable and doing well under the circumstances. While the coach also suffered a dislocated shoulder during the incident, the primary focus remains on his neurological recovery. Eberl emphasized that the illness is unrelated to the professional pressures of the Bundesliga.

Kompany will require rest and medication for several weeks, and a specific date for his return to the sidelines has not yet been determined. In the interim, assistant coach Aaron Danks will continue to lead the team and manage matchday responsibilities.
