Vincent Kompany nominated for Ballon d’Or Men’s Coach of the Year

Vincent Kompany, manager of Bayern Munich, has been named as one of five nominees for the 2026 Ballon d’Or Men’s Coach of the Year award. This marks a significant milestone for the Belgian coach, who led Bayern to a domestic double in Germany and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

Kompany faces competition from four other prominent managers: Mikel Arteta of Arsenal, Luis de la Fuente of the Spain national team, Luis Enrique of Paris Saint-Germain, and Unai Emery of Aston Villa. The nominees' achievements include Arteta winning the Premier League, De la Fuente guiding Spain to a World Cup title, Enrique securing both the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League, and Emery winning the Europa League.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in London on October 26.
