Vincenzo Alberto Annese details global football coaching career

Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the current head coach of the Equatorial Guinea national football team, has detailed his extensive international coaching career. Born in Bisceglie, Italy, Annese has coached across four different continents.

His journey began nearly fifteen years ago in the Baltic states and has since taken him to Armenia, China, Ghana, Palestine, Indonesia, Kosovo, Belize, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Burkina Faso. Annese transitioned into coaching after a playing career interrupted by injuries, earning a degree in sports science and working his way up from athletic trainer and assistant roles.

He noted that while opportunities for head coaches in Italy were historically difficult to secure, his decision to seek work abroad provided him with a unique and diverse professional path.
