Vincenzo Squillace, prominent Red Cross volunteer, dies at 55

Vincenzo Squillace, a 55-year-old Red Cross volunteer known by the nickname ‘Turbo’, has died following a sudden illness. Originally from Strongoli, Squillace was a dedicated member of the 118 emergency service station in Botricello.

He was widely recognized in the community for his rapid response and commitment to service. His previous emergency work included assisting during the tragic shipwreck in Cutro and providing aid during water emergencies in Botricello. He had performed his final service at the Botricello 118 clinic just one day before his passing.
