Vincenzo Vinciullo challenges Luca Cannata over center-right unity

Vincenzo Vinciullo, provincial commissioner of Grande Sicilia, has issued a sharp response to Fratelli d’Italia MP Luca Cannata regarding political cohesion within the center-right coalition in Sicily.

Addressing Cannata’s concerns about the political positioning of Grande Sicilia in Syracuse, Vinciullo accused the lawmaker of inconsistency. He pointed out that in Cannata’s own city of Avola, the center-right has remained in the opposition for 15 years without signs of reconciliation with coalition partners such as Forza Italia, Noi Moderati, Lega, and Grande Sicilia.

Vinciullo challenged Cannata to demonstrate true commitment to unity by proposing the dissolution of the current municipal government in Avola to initiate a shared political path. He suggested that Cannata should lead by example in his home territory before criticizing the strategic choices of other center-right forces in Syracuse.
