Crotone approves new regulations for public soil and subsoil use

In Crotone, the municipal government has approved a new regulation regarding the breaking of public soil and the concession of the use of public subsoil and municipal infrastructure. Proposed by Deputy Mayor and Public Works Assessor Sandro Cretella, the measure aims to establish an organic framework for interventions affecting city streets, subsoil, and technological networks.

The regulation introduces strict technical standards for closing excavations, standardized forms, and the creation of a multidisciplinary technical group. It specifically targets the coordination of new connections with existing maintenance or upgrading works to prevent repetitive interventions on the same road surfaces. A key component is the requirement for durable road restoration to ensure safety and functionality for vehicles and pedestrians.

Separately, the regional Transport Commission, chaired by Sergio Ferrari, has completed an inquiry phase regarding the Regional Transport Plan. This includes a proposed structural reform of Local Public Transport, with a final adoption timeline set for early September.
