Real Madrid faces internal tension after derby loss

Real Madrid is facing internal tension following a 2-1 derby loss to Atlético Madrid. The defeat has intensified scrutiny of key players, specifically Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappé.

Vinicius Junior is experiencing a significant decline in form, leading to questions about his position in the starting lineup. Reports suggest teammates previously expected him to transfer to Arsenal during the summer. Manager José Mourinho has shown decreasing patience, notably substituting Vinicius early in recent matches. The Brazilian player has expressed a desire to redeem himself and fulfill his moral duty to the club after signing a contract extension through 2032.

Kylian Mbappé is facing criticism from fans regarding his perceived lack of leadership and his focus on individual accolades. While his goal-scoring statistics remain high, his frequent media interviews discussing the Ballon d'Or have been viewed as poorly timed following team losses. Some supporters and analysts argue that his preoccupation with individual awards is distracting from the team's collective performance and the club's recent lack of titles.
