Vinícius Júnior faces pressure amid dip in Real Madrid form

Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior is facing significant scrutiny due to a decline in offensive production. In eight matches this season, the Brazilian attacker has recorded only one goal and three assists.

Former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has noted that while Vinícius’s quality remains “indisputable,” the player is currently not at his best. Analysts suggest several factors contributing to this slump, including a perceived loss of leadership following the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, physical fitness concerns, and recent transfer speculation.

Internal competition is also intensifying. Following a recent derby loss to Atlético de Madrid, reports indicate that Ivorian newcomer Yan Diomande is challenging Vinícius for a starting position. Diomande’s recent performances have shown high efficiency in ball retention and dribbling, putting pressure on the Brazilian's status as an untouchable starter.
