Vinícius Júnior signs new Real Madrid contract after Arsenal transfer rumors

Vinícius Júnior recently signed a new contract with Real Madrid following more than a year of negotiations. Reports indicate that the Brazilian forward was dissatisfied with his previous terms and had requested a salary comparable to Kylian Mbappé, a demand the club had repeatedly rejected.

According to the Spanish outlet El Debate, the situation became so tense that Vinícius was reportedly close to a transfer to Arsenal. The publication claims that some members of the Real Madrid dressing room believed his departure was a certainty. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez eventually conceded to the player's demands to ensure he remained at the club.

Despite securing the new deal, the player is currently facing a challenging period on the pitch, struggling to replicate his previous form. The reports suggest he must now work to regain his status and loyalty from the Bernabéu crowd.
