Vine Touring Park expansion proposed in Powys
The Vine Arddleen Ltd has submitted plans to Powys County Council for a significant expansion of the Vine Touring Park in Arddleen, near Llanymynech. The proposal for the 2.26-hectare site includes the construction of 30 two-bedroom self-catering holiday lodges, each featuring a living area, kitchen, and dedicated parking.
Additionally, the development seeks to expand the existing touring caravan site from five pitches to 22, with each pitch equipped with electricity, water, and hardstanding. A new amenity building is also planned to provide maintenance storage and shower and toilet facilities for guests.
While the project aims to support the local tourism economy in Montgomeryshire, the Llandrinio and Arddleen Community Council has raised concerns. Local councillor Lucy Roberts has requested that the application be referred to the planning committee due to worries regarding traffic flow, impact on local services, noise levels for neighbors, site access safety, and potential increased flood risks to nearby roads and properties.
