Vinegar Home‑Cleaning Tricks Grow Popular in Poland

Polish households are increasingly using white vinegar for low‑cost home maintenance. Spraying a diluted vinegar solution around door frames is promoted as a way to deter insects such as ants and cockroaches, with users reporting that the strong scent discourages pests, although scientific studies do not confirm its effectiveness.

Vinegar is also combined with washing‑powder to form a paste that removes mineral limescale from taps, shower heads and other fixtures. The mixture is applied, left for a few minutes, then rinsed away, restoring the appearance and function of the hardware without harsh chemicals. Both methods are presented as simple, inexpensive alternatives to commercial cleaners.
