VinFast captures majority market share in Vietnam's MPV and urban SUV segments

VinFast’s two MPV models – Limo Green and VF MPV 7 – together held 56.5% of the Vietnamese MPV market in the first half of 2026, accounting for roughly one‑half of all MPVs sold. The models outperformed rivals such as BYD, Mitsubishi Xpander and other small‑size MPVs, with sales far exceeding the 2,500‑unit threshold per model.

In the urban SUV segment, VinFast’s VF 5 and VF 6 combined sold 34,212 units, representing more than 47% of the 72,205 SUVs sold in the same period. VF 5 led with 20,167 deliveries, followed by VF 6 with 14,045. The nearest competitor, Toyota Yaris Cross, ranked third with 8,146 units, while Mitsubishi Xforce and Hyundai Creta each sold under 7,000 units.
