VinFast claims IP67-rated flood resistance for electric motorcycles

VinFast has announced that the powertrains of its electric motorcycles are IP67-rated, providing a level of flood resistance for commuters. The Vietnamese manufacturer stated that its Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models feature electric motors and MCUs capable of withstanding submersion in water up to 0.5 meters deep for 30 minutes.

In addition to water submersion testing, the company reported that the vehicles underwent a 500-hour salt spray test to evaluate corrosion resistance. The batteries have also been tested for durability at temperatures reaching 80 degrees Celsius.
