VinFast Minio Green’s minimalist interior eases disassembly and infotainment upgrades

A Setcar workshop in Hanoi removed many interior components of the VinFast Minio Green (and its sibling VF 2) to study the vehicle’s construction. The team reported that the cabin uses a minimalist layout with large, single‑piece molded plastic modules – for example, the door panel is a single cast piece – which makes removal considerably quicker than on the VF 3. The design also reduces the risk of rattles or loosened parts after repeated disassembly.

The HVAC system is compactly arranged behind the dashboard, with the fuse box, air‑flow duct and fan motor all integrated in the central pillar. Control is simple, offering only body‑directed or windshield‑directed airflow, and the car omits foot‑level vents to lower cost. A Body Control Module sits beneath the steering wheel, and electric power‑steering is supplied by Mando (South Korea). The speed‑display screen is separate from the infotainment unit, allowing an Android aftermarket head‑unit to be added without CAN‑bus integration, unlike the VF 3. VinFast recently reduced the Minio Green’s list price from 269 million VND to 188 million VND, matching the VF 2. Both models share a 27 hp rear‑motor, 65 Nm torque, an 18.5 kWh battery and an advertised 210 km range.
