VinFast Stadium in Vietnam to become world’s largest venue by 2028

Vietnam’s VinFast Stadium, part of the Vinhomes Global Sportia complex, is being built with a planned capacity of 135,000 seats. After more than six months of construction, the four stands (A, B, C, D) have been erected and major groundwork, including piling and concrete structures, is complete. The reinforced‑concrete frame is slated for completion by December 2026, after which the automated retractable roof will be installed, targeting May 2027.

When finished, the stadium will surpass the 132,000‑seat Narendra Modi Stadium in India, making it the largest stadium in the world. The project aims to host international sports, cultural and entertainment events, and is expected to be operational by 2028.
