VinFast - Trống Đồng Stadium in Hanoi aims to be world's largest

The VinFast - Trống Đồng Stadium, currently under construction in Hanoi, Vietnam, is drawing significant international attention for its massive scale. With a projected capacity of 135,000 spectators, the venue is expected to become the largest stadium in the world, surpassing the Narendra Modi Stadium in India and the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in North Korea.

International media outlets, including China's Dongqiudi and South Korea's Newsis, have highlighted the project's rapid construction progress. The stadium's design features a golden dome inspired by the traditional Dong Son bronze drum culture.

Construction is reportedly ahead of schedule. While the original completion target was August 2028, current projections suggest the stadium could be handed over by July 2027. The site is currently seeing the assembly of 80-meter steel structures and the simultaneous construction of stands A, B, C, and D.
