VinFast - Trong Dong Stadium construction advances in Hanoi

Construction is progressing at the VinFast - Trong Dong Stadium site in Thuong Phuc, Hanoi. After nine months of work, massive pillars nearly 80 meters high have been erected to support the installation of the stadium's dome.

As the central component of the Hung Vuong International Sports Complex, the 73.3-hectare facility is designed to hold 135,000 spectators, aiming to become one of the largest stadiums in the world. The design features an automated retractable roof that meets FIFA standards, integrating artificial intelligence and green technology solutions.

The concrete structure is scheduled for completion by December 2026. Following this, work will continue on the dome, mechanical and electrical systems, and the pitch. If the current timeline is maintained, the retractable roof is expected to be finished by May 2027, with the entire project completed by July 2027.
