VinFast - Trong Dong Stadium construction progresses in Hanoi

Construction of the VinFast - Trong Dong Stadium in southern Hanoi has reached a significant milestone eight months after breaking ground. The project, which serves as the centerpiece of the Hung Vuong International Sports Complex, is designed to have a capacity of 135,000 seats, potentially making it one of the largest stadiums in the world.

Currently, the four main stands (A, B, C, and D) are being constructed simultaneously. The reinforced concrete structure is scheduled for completion by December 2026, after which work will shift to the automatic retractable roof, electrical systems, and the pitch. The stadium aims to integrate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, 5G-connected smart seating, and real-time security and crowd management systems. The pitch is also designed to be replaceable within 6 to 10 hours.
