Vingroup announces massive Hung Vuong International Sports Complex in Hanoi

Vingroup has announced the planning of the Hung Vuong International Sports Complex in southern Hanoi. The project spans over 400 hectares and is designed as a world-class sports, culture, and entertainment hub.

The centerpiece of the complex is the VinFast - Trong Dong Stadium, which covers 73.3 hectares and is expected to have a capacity of 135,000 seats. It is described as the largest stadium in the world with an automated retractable roof. Designed to meet FIFA standards and utilize green technology and artificial intelligence, the stadium is scheduled for completion in July 2027.

The complex will also include an Olympic stadium with 40,000 seats for athletics, the 12,000-seat Hanoi Sport Arena for professional competitions and cultural events, and a 10,000-seat Aquatic Center for international swimming competitions.
