Vingroup becomes Vietnam's largest taxpayer

Vingroup has become the largest taxpayer in Vietnam, according to the 2025 VNTAX 200 rankings released by CafeF. The private conglomerate contributed approximately 148,800 billion VND to the state budget, representing about 5.6% of total national revenue. This marks the first time a private enterprise has surpassed major state-owned corporations, such as Petrovietnam, to hold the top position.

Vingroup's tax contribution is 2.65 times higher than the previous year. The group operates across six core sectors, including technology, industry, and services. Its automotive brand, VinFast, has become a leading car manufacturer in Vietnam and is expanding globally.

Other notable mentions in recent economic reports include Stavian Group, which ranked in the Top 155 largest taxpayers and Top 69 largest private taxpayers. Additionally, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest JSC was recognized among the Top 100 state-owned enterprises for its budget contributions. In the beverage sector, Heineken Vietnam reported spending nearly 22,000 billion VND on domestic procurement in 2025.
