Vietnam advances major stadium projects in Hưng Yên and Hanoi
Major sports infrastructure projects are progressing in Vietnam. In Hưng Yên, the PVF Stadium, an investment by the Ministry of Public Security, has reached a significant milestone. Its massive 8,600-ton steel dome, featuring a retractable design that can open or close within 12 to 20 minutes, has been successfully lifted onto its four main pillars after nearly a year of construction. The stadium is designed to meet FIFA standards with a capacity of 60,000 seats.
Simultaneously, construction is underway for the VinFast – Trống Đồng Stadium in southern Hanoi. Part of the Hùng Vương International Sports Complex, this project is expected to be completed by July 2027. With a planned capacity of 135,000 seats, it aims to surpass the current world record held by India’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Construction is currently advancing through the third tier of the stands, with specialized steel modules being prepared for installation.
