Vingroup evolves business model to navigate shrinking corporate lifespans
Vingroup, a Vietnamese conglomerate, is utilizing a strategy of continuous reinvention to navigate shrinking corporate lifespans caused by rapid technological change. Having reached its 33rd anniversary, the company has transitioned its core business focus from food production and tourism to real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and more recently, electric vehicles, green energy, and infrastructure.
This approach to diversification and adaptation has seen the company rise in regional rankings. In June, Fortune ranked Vingroup as the 26th largest company among Southeast Asia’s 500 largest companies, an increase from its positions of 37th in 2025 and 45th in 2024.
