Vingroup market capitalization reaches nearly 2 quadrillion VND
Vingroup has reached a historic market capitalization of nearly 2 quadrillion VND, accounting for approximately 22% of the total HoSE market value. This valuation is equivalent to the combined market capitalization of ten major Vietnamese banks, including Vietcombank, BIDV, and Techcombank. When including subsidiaries such as Vinhomes (VHM), Vinpearl (VPL), and Vincom Retail (VRE), the Vingroup ecosystem represents nearly one-third of the HoSE total capitalization.
On the trading front, foreign investors recorded a net sell of approximately 460 billion VND across three exchanges on September 7. On the HoSE specifically, foreign investors net sold about 469.5 billion VND. Selling pressure was most concentrated in the banking sector, with Vietcombank (VCB) and VietinBank (CTG) seeing significant outflows. Within the Vingroup group, VIC faced selling pressure, while VHM and VRE saw net buying. The market is currently approaching September 21, 2026, a key date for the inclusion of Vietnamese stocks in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series.
