Vingroup and major firms employ over 1.2 million people in Vietnam

A group of 22 major Vietnamese enterprises employs more than 1.22 million people across various sectors, including real estate, technology, retail, energy, and banking.

Vingroup leads the group with an estimated 230,000 personnel within its ecosystem in Vietnam, including affiliates such as Vincom Retail, GSM, and VinCons. This figure excludes its global workforce, which the company has stated exceeds 400,000 people. Within the Vingroup ecosystem, VinCons alone has surpassed 100,000 employees, driven largely by expansion in construction and infrastructure projects.

Other significant employers include EVN with approximately 97,000 workers, Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (TKV) with nearly 95,000, FPT with over 80,000, and Vietnam Rubber Group (GVR) with approximately 76,000. The industrial, energy, and resource sectors maintain a high density of large-scale employers, alongside companies like Vinatex, Hoa Phat, and Petrolimex.
