Vinh Long police prosecute five individuals for illegal gambling

Police in Vinh Long province have officially prosecuted five individuals for illegal gambling. On September 22, 2026, Duyen Hai Ward Police, in coordination with the Vinh Long Provincial Police Investigation Agency, served prosecution decisions and residence restriction orders to Nguyen My Kieu, Duong Van Loi, Duong Van Giang, Bui Tuan Anh, and Bi Hoang Ni.

The investigation follows an incident on May 2, 2026, when authorities caught the group participating in ‘lac tai xiu’ (a gambling game) for money in Giong Gieng, Duyen Hai Ward. During the raid, police seized gambling tools and 3,410,000 VND. The suspects have admitted to the illegal activities, and the case remains under further investigation.
