Vinh Long technical officer arrested for document forgery

Vinh Long Provincial Police have arrested and prosecuted Huỳnh Hoàng Việt, a 68-year-old technical officer at Huỳnh Phan Co., Ltd., for the forgery and use of falsified documents from agencies and organizations.

Investigations revealed that between 2021 and 2023, Việt prepared 37 design dossiers for modified motor vehicles by unauthorized copying of technical drawings. Although the actual vehicle modifications were not performed at the company’s workshop, the submitted documentation falsely claimed that construction and modification had taken place at the facility to obtain safety and environmental quality certificates from the Vinh Long Registration Bureau.
