Vinhomes Green Paradise achieves first global ISO smart city certification

Vinhomes Green Paradise, a 2,870-hectare coastal development in Can Gio, has become the first greenfield project globally to receive the Interim Custom ISO 37122 Smart City Certification from the World Council on City Data (WCCD).

The project utilizes a pioneering “ESG++” model, which integrates regeneration and climate adaptation into its core design principles. By centering its urban strategy around the adjacent UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, the development aims to address biodiversity loss, carbon sequestration, and long-term climate resilience.

Vinhomes is embedding internationally recognized smart-city standards into its large-scale developments from the outset. The ISO 37122 framework provides globally comparable indicators to evaluate urban performance across sectors such as mobility, energy, environmental management, digital infrastructure, governance, and public safety.
