Vinhomes launches Vietnam’s first ISO‑37122 smart‑city certified project and a 6,200‑hectare Ha Long Bay development

The World Council on City Data (WCCD) awarded Vinhomes Green Paradise – Can Gio an interim ISO 37122 Smart City Certification, the first such recognition for a mega‑urban development in Vietnam. The certification, based on a customized indicators framework, acknowledges progress in design, planning, data collection and sustainability, and will serve as a baseline for full certification once the project becomes operational. Dr. Patricia McCarney, President & CEO of WCCD, said the award “recognizes Vinhomes’ long‑term vision and commitment to developing a smart, sustainable, and future‑ready urban model.”

Separately, Vinhomes unveiled the master plan for Global Gate Ha Long, a 6,200‑hectare integrated city adjacent to the UNESCO‑listed Ha Long Bay. The development will combine housing, schools, healthcare, retail, parks and ecological infrastructure, and is positioned near the future Hanoi–Quang Ninh high‑speed railway depot, promising a 23‑minute commute to Hanoi. The project aims to deliver high value per hectare, enhance climate resilience and create a fully connected urban ecosystem.
