VINI expands demand-based flight services from Bern
VINI is expanding its demand-based flight services from Bern following a successful testing phase. The airline will transition its Bern–Munich route from three fixed weekly flights to an on-demand model where travelers can request connections for any day of the week. If sufficient demand is met, the flight is confirmed; if not, no costs are incurred by the passengers.
Through its ‘Make It Fly’ initiative, VINI is also allowing passengers to actively trigger new connections to destinations such as St. Tropez based on collective interest. During its initial operational months, the Bern–Munich route saw 31 flights with an average occupancy of 60 to 65 percent and a 99 percent punctuality rate. The airline is now beginning demand-based network planning for 2027.
