Vini Jr. sparks social media speculation over appearance
A new official photograph of footballer Vini Jr. released by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has sparked significant social media speculation regarding the player's appearance. Observers noted a more defined chin contour, leading to questions about potential new aesthetic procedures.
While Vini Jr. previously underwent a chin refinement procedure in Goiânia in July, experts note that visual changes in a photo can be caused by lighting, angles, or weight changes rather than surgery. Aesthetic specialist Fernanda Nichelle emphasized that a technical assessment cannot be made from a single image.
The visual changes have also fueled extreme conspiracy theories on platforms like TikTok. Some internet users have claimed the player was replaced by a double or a clone, theories which the Spanish outlet Marca has dismissed as ‘absurd’.
