Vinicio Capossela to perform Ballad Opera in Sassari

Vinicio Capossela will perform his first Ballad Opera, titled ‘E Morte non avrà dominio’, at the Teatro Comunale di Sassari on Wednesday, November 11, at 20:30. Featuring Pierpaolo Capovilla, the performance is part of a national tour following its debut at the Romaeuropa Festival.

The project is organized by the Associazione Carta da Musica in collaboration with the Le ragazze terribili cooperative for the second edition of the Sardinia Music Hub. It is sponsored by the Sardinia Region and the Fondazione di Sardegna.

The work is dedicated to the memory of Renato Striglia, a radio DJ and friend of Capossela, who had previously worked on an unfinished Italian version of ‘Under Milk Wood’. The opera is described as a celebration of life, innocence, plurality, friendship, and community strength. Tickets will be available starting September 2.
