Real Madrid demands resignation of LaLiga president Javier Tebas

Real Madrid has demanded the immediate resignation of LaLiga president Javier Tebas from his positions at LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation. This escalation follows Tebas's controversial social media comments comparing the communication methods of Real Madrid TV to the propaganda techniques used by Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany. While Tebas clarified he was referring to propaganda methods rather than Nazi ideology, the club described the remarks as “absolutely intolerable” and “morally repugnant.”

In addition to the demand for resignation, Real Madrid is calling for a comprehensive reform of the Spanish football refereeing system and its governance, management, and disciplinary structures. The club also expressed frustration regarding the Negreira case, involving payments made by FC Barcelona, and has appealed to UEFA for clarification on the matter.

Separately, the Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD) is reportedly reviewing the situation to determine if formal measures are required against Tebas.

On the pitch, Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior faces a four-match suspension after an appeal to the RFEF was rejected. The ban, stemming from an incident involving Nathan Saliba and subsequent conduct toward the referee, will cause him to miss several matches, including the upcoming Clásico against FC Barcelona.
