Vinícius Júnior's contract saga with Real Madrid under Mourinho

Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior is in the final year of his Real Madrid contract, which runs until June 2027. Ongoing negotiations have stalled over a renewal bonus and a higher salary package, with the player reportedly seeking a €20 million‑per‑year deal (about R$117 million) and a signing bonus that the club has so far refused. Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has indicated the club will not meet the bonus demand, fearing a knock‑on effect for the squad.

Amid the talks, Vinícius has reiterated his desire to stay, telling his agents he wants to remain at the Bernabéu.
