Vinkovci commemorates museum expert Danijel Petković

A commemoration was held in Vinkovci for Danijel Petković, a prominent museum expert and former director of the City Museum Vinkovci. Petković, who passed away in early August, served as the museum's director from 2011 to 2019 before continuing his work as a museum advisor and head of the Historical Department.

During the ceremony, Museum Director Hrvoje Vulić praised Petković as a top-tier expert whose knowledge significantly impacted Vinkovci, the Vukovar-Srijem County, and Croatia at large, particularly regarding the medieval and early modern periods. Petković's professional legacy includes editing or publishing over forty publications and authoring or co-authoring more than thirty exhibitions. He also served as the president of the Museum Association of Eastern Croatia.
