In Boljanić, officials and community members gathered to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of Operation Halyard, a World War II mission where Yugoslav forces rescued over 500 Allied pilots. Siniša Karan, President of Republika Srpska, and Željka Cvijanović, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighted the operation as a significant historical event demonstrating the bravery and humanity of the Serbian people in aiding allies during the conflict.

Separately, in Vinkovci, Croatia, ceremonies were held to honor the 34th anniversary of the founding of the 5th Guards Brigade ‘Sokolovi’ and to remember members of the 1st Independent HOS Battalion ‘Marijan Baotić’. The commemorations included the laying of wreaths and the lighting of candles to preserve the memory of those who fell during the Croatian War of Independence.
