Vinmonopolet cuts prices on 125 wines in monthly sale

Norway's state‑owned alcohol retailer Vinmonopolet announced a price‑cut list for this month, reducing the cost of 125 wines. Discounts range from NOK 5 to NOK 800, with 12 wines reduced by more than NOK 300 and 18 by over NOK 200. The cuts apply to items from the order‑ and add‑on assortments, including the U.S. Elizabeth Spencer Mendocino Chardonnay (down from NOK 370 to NOK 250) and the French Dom. de la Pirolette Saint‑Amour Le Carjot (from NOK 360 to NOK 234).

A Norwegian wine‑club newsletter highlighted 58 of the discounted bottles, noting price reductions of 18‑64% (average 26%). The selection spans nine countries – France, England, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Germany, the United States and Austria. The most notable deals cited were a 64% cut on Ch. Grand Boise Jadis Rosé, a sub‑NOK 100 Chardonnay, and a 34% reduction on the Dom. de la Pirolette red.
