Vinod Kambli shares video from elderly care home in Thane

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has appeared in a viral video from the Nidan Centre for Elderly Care in Thane, where he is currently residing. In the footage, the 54-year-old praises the facility, describing the hygiene and cleanliness as ‘first-class’ and stating that the care he receives makes him feel at home.

Despite his positive message, the video has sparked significant concern among cricket fans regarding his health. Kambli has been battling various neurological and physical issues, including brain clots, memory impairment, and mobility challenges. Reports indicate he has struggled with walking unassisted and has faced complications from previous hospitalizations related to urinary infections and electrolyte imbalances.

Kambli, who represented India in 17 Tests and 104 ODIs, has also faced financial challenges. He reportedly receives a monthly pension from the BCCI, supplemented by support from the Champs Foundation via Sunil Gavaskar.
