Vinod Khosla defends Steelers fandom after Seahawks ownership

Vinod Khosla, the venture capitalist and founder of Khosla Ventures, has addressed backlash from Seattle Seahawks fans following his admission of long-standing allegiance to the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his introductory press conference after completing a $9.6 billion acquisition of the team, Khosla noted that his time in Pittsburgh during the late 1970s sparked his interest in the NFL and that he still watches Steelers games.

In response to criticism from fans and media outlets like Barstool Sports, Khosla clarified his position on social media. He stated that while his history in Pittsburgh made him a fan, he will ‘unconditionally, ALWAYS as owner, want the Seahawks to win and have every edge up, EVERY TIME over every other team!!!!’. He characterized the media reaction as making ‘every molehill into a mountain’ for content.
