Vinogradska Hospital undergoes 70.5 million euro renovation

KBC Sestre milosrdnice on Vinogradska Street in Zagreb is undergoing a major renovation of its hospital complex. The project, valued at 70.5 million euros, involves the reconstruction of six buildings and aims to modernize medical facilities and reorganize activities to improve patient care.

A significant upgrade has occurred in the radiotherapy department. The new center features three linear accelerators and a CT simulator, which will increase the capacity from approximately 700–800 patients per year to an expected 1,500. This upgrade is designed to provide more precise radiation and better protection for healthy tissue.

In addition to the Vinogradska upgrades, Croatian medical professionals achieved a milestone at Dubrava Clinical Hospital by performing the country’s first laparoscopic Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) procedure, a complex spinal surgery.
