Vinson & Elkins hires senior finance lawyers from Latham & Watkins

Vinson & Elkins has appointed Loren Finegold and Ed Comber as partners in its New York-based Structured Finance and Securitization practice. Finegold, who previously served as the global vice chair of the structured finance practice at Latham & Watkins, will lead the practice.

Both attorneys join from Latham & Watkins and bring extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, and digital infrastructure. Finegold has a history of pioneering transaction structures, including midstream oil and gas securitizations and securitizations for data centers and wireless tower ground leases. Comber’s expertise includes GPU financing, shipping containers, and music catalog master trust securitizations. Their arrival is intended to bolster the firm’s capabilities as institutional investors and private credit providers seek opportunities in capital-intensive industries.
