Vinuesa launches online meat delivery service across Spain
The municipality of Vinuesa in Soria has created a public‑private cooperative called “Vinuesa en tu mesa” to sell locally produced meat and charcuterie online. The project, backed by mayor Juan Ramón Soria and butcher Carlos Medrano, refurbishes the town’s former slaughterhouse and uses municipal funds to enable a 24‑hour delivery network that reaches customers from the Levant to Galicia with full traceability.
Customers can order items such as grass‑fed steaks, lamb ribs or traditional chorizo and receive them at any point in Spain within a day, expanding the reach of the region’s traditional meat sector beyond local tourism.
The initiative aims to boost the local economy, support small producers and showcase the quality of Vinuesa’s “pinares” meat, while leveraging modern e‑commerce logistics to connect rural producers with a national market.
