Violanta opens new production facility in Trikala

Violanta, the biscuit manufacturer, has launched a new production facility in Trikala following the granting of necessary permits by the Thessaly Region. This facility serves as the company’s third active production unit.

The opening of this plant is a significant development for the company as it restores production capacity following the destruction of its central Trikala factory in January. The new facility is located directly across from the destroyed central unit, occupying a property formerly used as a Cash & Carry outlet.

The conversion of the site from storage to an industrial production unit was planned prior to the central factory's destruction, though works were temporarily suspended following the incident. The activation of this new plant is expected to allow Violanta to resume fulfilling international orders that could not be met due to limited capacity.
