Violence and flooding reported in Mazatlán and Grecia

In Mazatlán, Mexico, a teenager between 14 and 15 years old was shot and killed on Francisco Madero Herrera Avenue in the Tercera Ampliación Urías sector. Authorities and emergency responders, including the Mexican Army and local firefighters, arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire around 11:40 a.m. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, arms, and forehead. The motive and identity of the youth remain under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office.

In Grecia, Costa Rica, a building belonging to the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) experienced significant flooding. The fire department and an aquatic rescue unit responded to the scene, noting structural damage to the facility and water entering a nearby bus. No injuries were reported during the incident.
