Violence erupts after Atlético Tucumán vs Talleres Reserve match
Violence erupted at the Ojo de Agua complex following a Reserve league match between Atlético Tucumán and Talleres de Córdoba. Although Atlético Tucumán secured a 2-0 victory, the sporting result was overshadowed by a physical confrontation involving coaching staff and local supporters.
Referee Valentín Ibáñez Mesa filed a detailed report describing a generalized brawl that included punches and the use of blunt objects. The report specifically identified Rodrigo Sebastián Acosta, the Talleres Reserve coach, and his brother Lautaro Germán Acosta, an assistant coach, as being involved in a fight with Atlético Tucumán supporters. The conflict escalated when a gate connecting the stands to the pitch was opened, allowing several players to join the fray.
Several players were singled out in the referee's report: Carlos Gabriel Abeldaño, Luca Ian Ramírez, and Gabriel Machena for Atlético Tucumán, and Jeremías Florentín, Mariano Ezequiel Albornoz, and Gonzalo Nuccio for Talleres. The report also noted threats made against the officiating crew. Authorities are currently reviewing the incident to determine individual responsibilities and potential disciplinary sanctions.
