Violence in Colombia: Double Murders Reported in Suesca and Antioquia

Two separate fatal attacks have been reported in different regions of Colombia. In Suesca, Cundinamarca, a couple identified as Alejandra Torres, 39, and Jorge Alejandro Vivas Alba, 56, were killed on October 14 at a farm in the Tenería district. The victims, who were involved in livestock and hydroponic farming, sustained sharp-force injuries. Reports suggest two individuals entered the residence, leading to a confrontation.

In Northern Antioquia, two unidentified individuals were killed on October 22 on the road between Yarumal and Valdivia, specifically in the Alto de Ventanas sector. Preliminary information indicates the victims were traveling on a public bus when armed men forced them to disembark before attacking them. The area is known to be contested by various illegal groups, including the Clan del Golfo, the ELN, and FARC dissidents, who compete for control over transit routes to the Caribbean coast and Urabá.
