Violence in Colombia: Two women killed in separate shooting attacks

Two separate fatal shooting incidents have been reported in Colombia. In El Espinal, Tolima, a foreign national identified as Yoscani was shot and killed during the night of Sunday, October 11, at a bar in the El Libertador neighborhood. Video footage captured the tension following the attack, where the victim reportedly sustained gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Authorities believe the assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle.

In Cúcuta, Cindy Johana Lizcano was killed on Wednesday, October 14, in the El Contento neighborhood. The attack occurred while she was attending the funeral of another young woman who had been murdered over the weekend in the El Salado neighborhood. Lizcano was struck by approximately eight gunshots and died from her injuries despite medical intervention. Police are investigating whether there is a connection between the two recent homicides.
