Violence in Lucknow and Moga leaves two dead in separate shootings

Two separate shooting incidents in India have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

In the Saadatganj area of Lucknow, a dispute regarding the construction of a platform near a banyan tree escalated into gunfire. Three individuals—Shiva Tiwari, Shambhu Tiwari, and Suyash Tiwari—were shot. Two of the victims died during medical treatment, while one remains in critical condition. Police have taken the primary suspect into custody and are investigating the matter.

In Moga, Punjab, armed attackers in a Scorpio vehicle opened fire on a group of people sitting outside a shop in the Angadpura area. The victims, identified as 30-year-old Gagan Jindal and 40-year-old Sahil Jindal, were killed. Three others were seriously injured. Preliminary investigations suggest the attack was motivated by an old rivalry. Local authorities are currently investigating the incident.
