Violence reported against migrant students in Chile and LGBTQ+ community in Mexico

In Veracruz, Mexico, the LGBTQ+ community is reporting an increase in targeted attacks. Human rights defenders from Soy Humano A.C. have documented cases where individuals are contacted via dating apps, drugged through adulterated beverages, and subsequently robbed or assaulted. Some reports indicate that perpetrators have even gone as far as robbing victims' homes while they are incapacitated. Advocates are calling for increased action to prevent further impunity and victim re-traumatization.
