Violence reported in São José do Rio Preto and Pato Branco

Two separate incidents of violence were reported in Brazil. In São José do Rio Preto, a 60-year-old businessman was stabbed with a machete following a dispute over a parking space on Avenida Potirendaba. The suspect, a 42-year-old radiology technician, allegedly attacked the victim as he exited a bank. The victim sustained an arm injury and was released from medical care. The suspect was detained and remains in custody after claiming he acted in self-defense against a wooden object.

In Pato Branco, a large-scale brawl involving a group of youths occurred on Avenida Tupi in the city center. Video footage shows physical altercations in the street and significant damage to vehicles, including one car leaning against another. Authorities are investigating the motivation behind the confrontation and have not yet confirmed the number of people involved or any arrests.
