Violent assaults on minors reported in Liguria, Italy

In Quinto, a district east of Genoa, police responded to reports of an aggression in the public gardens of via Giannelli on Saturday night. A young victim suffered a head injury and was taken to the Gaslini Hospital. The Carabinieri, together with State Police and local forces, filed four charges of resisting officers against minors, both Italian and foreign, while investigations continue.

On the nearby promenade of Diano Marina, three 16‑year‑old teenagers filed complaints that they were surrounded, beaten and robbed by a group of more than ten youths, some of whom were adults. One of the boys sustained a broken nose, bruises and scratches and was first taken to the Imperia emergency department before further care in Lombardy. Carabinieri are also investigating this incident to reconstruct the events and identify the perpetrators.
